University of Saskatchewan: Obstructive Sleep Apnea Series

The Challenge: Reaching viewers who might not realize sleep apnea is a condition that might affect them or their loved ones (ie. younger people, people with varying body types and abilities) 

The Solve: Package the experience of having sleep apnea with engaging storytelling, and light, relatable character art.

Inspiration

We were inspired by the character art for Headspace, which did a great job of expression emotional using mostly shapes and colour.

Ultimately, the final character art leaned further into somewhat more realistic body shapes (or as realistic as these noodley guys could be.) We ended up with super expressive character rigs.
